Exposure

Exposure began as a spark from an idea that came after many trials and tests when I was making music. I found that I spent a lot of time trying to sound a particular way. Being interested in so many genres, making music became this over-complicated/surmounting thing which I couldn’t get satisfaction from.

Exposure is me making music however it comes to me. Letting influences or ideas seep their way in naturally. It’s a selection of tracks that really represent me, what I like and enjoy.

The idea of the songs is that they’re supposed to sound as if one is walking through a tropical jungle and that the leaves are caressing your ears as you brush by. Those light ‘scchhh’ sounds are what create the light textures in the music.

It’s my take on music as a whole and was half-inspired by the flower photographs (which make the covers) photographed by Rocio Chacon. The images really represent the feeling of the sound of the record to me. Abstract yet natural. Reality or fictional? Do they represent the macro or the micro?

The record has a feeling of floatiness to me, and feels as if it is unattached from anything else.
